The Coronavirus and Vaping: What Should I Know?

COVID-19, or the coronavirus, is spreading throughout the world. While you may already know the impact on your business, you can do more to help your business stay afloat during these uncertain times. Chinese manufacturers have all but ceased producing vape hardware such as coils and mods, while countries such as South Korea, Iran, Italy, and the United States have reported numerous cases of the coronavirus.

Investigate hype

The coronavirus has dominated the news cycle for the past couple of months. As we learned from media reporting on vape, it is important to also carefully scrutinize the media coverage of the coronavirus. We know that there is an issue with hardware manufacturers in China, where the majority of the world’s vape hardware is produced. People are also hoarding toilet paper, masks, and hand sanitizer.

It could also make it easier for media outlets to scrutinize vaping and link it to the coronavirus. Public health officials and politicians such as New York City mayor Bill de Blasio recommending that people should cease vaping. Do your research and inform your customers if they have any questions. Research has shown that there is not enough evidence regarding vaping and the disease progression and/or infection rates of the coronavirus.

Keep high-traffic areas clean

Remember the saying, “cleanliness is next to Godliness”? This is especially true right now. You may want to have high-traffic areas cleaned and sanitized as much as possible. If you get a lot of foot traffic and people are looking at the products you have available, you may want to clean eJuice bottles and hardware boxes as much as possible to prevent any potential coronavirus spreading from happening.

If possible, keep all vape products under lock and key to keep them clean. It may also be helpful to have a “menu” of vape products available in a booklet or on a TV display showing what eJuices and hardware are available at the store to minimize contact with vape products. In addition, please advise your staff to also maintain cleanliness at all times.

Limit vaping in or around your store itself

If local or state laws do not prohibit vaping indoors, you may want to prohibit vaping itself in your store or in the immediate vicinity of your store. This is to help prevent the spread of coronavirus since many people may be infected and not show symptoms.

Provide hand sanitizer

You may also want to provide hand sanitizer to customers and for your staff to make sure to minimize any chances for the disease to progress, especially if your store is in an area with high foot traffic.

Continue operations via a PoweredBy store

In the case that your brick and mortar shop is suffering from the effects of the coronavirus frenzy, you may want to increase incremental revenue and continue business operations by opening a PoweredByeJuices.com store. This will help you continue to generate revenue if you live in an area that is badly affected by the coronavirus.

These are some tips that you can use to help your business succeed in a time of uncertainty. If you have any questions or concerns, you can always contact your eJuices.co account manager or sales representative.
