Addressing the GeekBar Shortage 2025

Over the past year, no other vaping product has dominated amongst consumers everywhere like that of the Geek Bar Pulse. Import Tariffs

Since the inauguration of President Donald Trump in January, the Trump administration has gone ahead and enacted the import tariffs on goods entering the United States from outside countries and regions. The tariffs, intended to stifle US consumption of foreign goods in order to encourage sales towards domestic manufacturers and suppliers, raises the cost of import into the United States, therefore forcing most importers to raise their general sales price to keep margins intact. Relatedly to the import tariffs, is the rise in overall inflation in the US since the start of the year. As of this writing, inflation saw a 2.7% year-over-year rise in June according to the Consumer Price Index's (CPI) latest report, up from the 2.4% in May, signaling an expected rise in inflation in large part due to Trump's import tariffs. As a result, economic activity is expected to slow down in the following months and year due to higher costs, which affects vaping products like Geek Bar just as much. Increased inflation and border seizures have led to the shortage in Geek Bar Pulse availability and that's before existing stock hits shelves with elevated pricing, making Geek Bars now less common to find and more expensive to buy.

Flavored Vape Bans

Adding fuel to the fire additionally is the swath of flavored vape bans taking shape in local state legislatures across the country. According to Vaping360's up to date tracking of these developments, 15 out of 50 states have so far enacted flavored vape bans of some degree with more targeted city-wide bans being put in place by others. From California to New York, these bans have increased the strain on Geek Bar's ability to push their products to consumers making scarcity that much more prevalent. 

What You Can Do

Amidst all the hurdles and challenges posed to Geek Bar, consumers and shops alike may understandably feel very uncertain about the availability to continue purchasing the Pulse and other related disposables for the foreseeable future.
